Group Classes - Rogue River Spey School

In this 1 day class you will discover the world of spey casting and fishing while floating one of the most popular summer steelhead fisheries on the West Coast.  This class is for the spey caster that would like to learn the basics of spey casting or the caster who is looking to increase their skill level. We'll cover anything you would like to know about spey casting and fishing.  The class usually begins in a group discussion while the instructor provides a demonstration on spey casting principles. Next the students seperate and practice. The instructor works at the pace of the students while cycling through the group for the remainder of the school.  Both river left and river right will be covered. During the casting instruction, the instructor will teach the most common spey casts for beginners including the Switch Cast, Single Spey, Snap-T, Snake Roll and Double Spey. Intermediate spey casters can fine-tune their skills, try different casting styles and hands (right and left), and try new spey rods. Fishing techniques will also be covered.
