Fly fishing lessons taught in groups are limtied to the number of students per class. This is to ensure adequate instruction for each student. The most common classes are fly casting which are scheduled once or twice a month. Some students will attend them regularly or prior to an upcoming trip to keep improving their skills. Steelhead-salmon, shad and striper classes are scheduled to coincide when these fish return from the ocean to spawn in local rivers. These classes are usually offered through the duration of the run. If you would like to enroll in one of these anadromous-species fly fishing classes, check the schedule a few months in advance as these classes sell out well before the scheduled dates. If the dates don't fit your schedule, private lessons are available.
