1 Day Beginning Fly Fishing School

 

 

 

This is one-day class will allow students to get a much larger picture of fly fishing.  The following information will be covered in this class, on the water:

  • Equipment
  • Casting
  • Entomology
  • Knots
  • Reading Water
  • Presentations Including Nymphing, Dry Fly and Streamers
  • Wading Safety
  • Fish Fighting and Releasing

After this in-depth look at fly fishing, you'll be able to confidently fish a fly on any trout or  warm-water fishery. Rod and reel outfit can be provided.  This class is taught on the American River.

Class Schedule

Class Duration: Classes are held from 9am to 4pm on the dates listed below.

Meeting Place: River Bend Park, American River

Equipment Needed: Waders or wading boots (temperature dependant), Note Pad, Pen or Pencil, Hat, Sunscreen, Polarized Glasses, Valid California Fishing License with a Steelhead Report Card, Lunch. (Limited to 6 max)

Class Fees: $150.00 per person
