1 Day Trout School
This is one-day class will allow students to get a much larger picture of fly fishing. The following information will be covered in this class:
- Equipment
- Casting
- Entomology
- Knots
- Reading Water
- Presentations Including Nymphing, Dry Fly and Streamers
- Wading Safety
- Fish Fighting and Releasing
After this in-depth look at fly fishing, you'll be able to confidently fish a fly on any trout or warm-water fishery. Rod and reel outfit can be provided. This class is taught on the American River.

Class Schedule
Class Duration: Classes are held from 9am to 4pm on the dates listed below.
Meeting Place: Geothe Park, American River
Equipment Needed: Waders, Note Pad-Pen or Pencil, Hat, Sunscreen, Polarized Glasses, Valid California Fishing License with a Delta Enhancement Stamp and Steelhead Report Card.
Class Fees: $125.00 per person
