The lower American River located in Sacramento, CA offers great year round fly fishing for anadromous fish species including winter and summer steelhead, shad, stripers and king salmon! We'll cover tons of information including specific access points, the most productive time of year to fish for each species, what methods to use and what equipment you'll need. By attending this class you'll save yourself years of searching for fish and more time catching them. Jeff Putnam will share his experience from over 30 years of fly fishing the American River. You will visit 3 of Jeffs favorite access points durning this class.
Class Duration: 4 hours- Lesson begins at 9am and will finish at 1pm
Meeting Place: American River- To Be Announced
Equipment needed: Note Pad and StreamTime Map or similar map of the American River, Vehicle, $5.00 Park Access Fee.
Bring you fly fishing gear if you would like to fish after the class.
Class Fees: $75.00 per person

Payment/Cancellation Policy: Class must be paid for in full 14 days before the class date. Arrangements can be made for signups within the 14 day period. Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the class date will receive a full refund if paying check or cash. A 5% credit card processing fee will be charged on all credit card refunds. Cancellations made within 14 days of the class date will forfeit their full payment unless that space is filled.
