Group Classes - Flyfishing for Half-Pound Steelhead on the American River

Late summer is the season for catching juvenile summer run steelhead. These active rainbows return from the salt and feed in the American River. Join us for this informative lesson during some of the most comfortable fishing conditions. Beautiful evening sunsets provide the backdrop as we cover traditional methods like surface swinging and dead drifting. Also covered in this class will include equipment setup, reading water and access.

Class Schedule

Class Duration: Classes are held from 4:00 PM until dark. on the scheduled dates listed below.
Meeting Place: Kiene's Fly Shop
Equipment needed: 4-6 weight rod and reel outfit, waders, sinking tip or floating lines, leaders, flies and a valid CA fishing license and steelhead report card. $4.00 park entrance fee, pay at river.
Class Fees: $50.00 per person

Payment/Cancellation Policy: Class must be paid for in full 14 days before the class date. Arrangements can be made for signups within the 14 day period. Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the class date will receive a full refund if paying check or cash. A 5% credit card processing fee will be charged on all credit card refunds. Cancellations made within 14 days of the class date will forfeit their full payment unless that space is filled.
